This bill amends the federal criminal code to classify lethal air guns as firearms. It defines "lethal air gun" as any weapon that expels a pellet through air or gas pressure, capable of causing death, excluding those that expel paint-filled pellets. Specific criteria include .177,.22, and.25 caliber pellets at certain muzzle velocities, or any metallic pellet above.25 caliber. The changes will take effect 850 days after the bill's enactment.
