Sets maximum rates for towing and storage of passenger and large vehicles outside of New York City.

The bill amends the general business law to establish maximum rates for towing and storage of vehicles outside of New York City. For passenger cars, the maximum charge is set at one hundred dollars plus all tolls. For large vehicles, rates vary based on gross vehicle weight, with additional charges for unusual preparation and under-lift use. Storage rates are capped at fifty dollars per twenty-four-hour period. These provisions do not apply to cities with a population of one million or more.
